Circular economy and waste reduction — Region of Sardinia
Promote the transition of Sardinian companies to circular, sustainable and resource-efficient production models.
Purposes and objectives
The call supports the transition of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Sardinia from linear economy models to models of circular economy, promoting the reduction of waste, the efficient use of resources and the use of recycled materials as secondary raw materials.
The interventions aim to:
- replace virgin raw materials with recycled, renewable or biodegradable materials;
- enhance industrial by-products and promote industrial symbiosis;
- reduce waste and consumption in production processes;
- improve the recyclability, disassembly and repairability of products;
- promote eco-design practices and lengthening the life cycle of products.
Financial endowment
The total budget of the call is equal to 1,900,000 euros.
Beneficiaries
They can apply:
- Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with headquarters or production unit in Sardinia;
- Business Combinations (ATI) consisting of at least two MPMI.
Eligible interventions
Investment projects aimed at the transition to the circular economy are eligible and require mandatory interventions on the production cycle, including:
- efficient use of resources and replacement of raw materials with MPS;
- recycling and enhancement of internal waste;
- improving the efficiency of production processes;
- disassembly, remanufacturing, reuse and eco-design of products.
Circularity support activities (environmental diagnoses, LCA/LCC, environmental certifications) are also allowed, within the limit of 30% of eligible expenditure.
Eligible expenses
Expenses are allowed for:
- tangible and intangible capital goods (machinery, plants, hardware, patents, licenses, know-how);
- masonry and building works closely related to the installation of the goods;
- specialist consultancy services and environmental certifications.
Consultancy fees cannot exceed 30% of the total project.
Amount of projects
- Individual businesses: from 30,000 to 250,000 euros
- Business aggregations: from 60,000 to 400,000 euros
Form and intensity of aid
The benefit is granted in the form of non-repayable contribution.
The company can choose between:
- De Minimis Regime: contribution up to80% eligible expenses;
- GBER Regime:
- Until 50% for micro and small businesses;
- Until 40% for medium-sized enterprises (for productive investments);
- Until 50% for consulting services and environmental certifications.
A minimum co-financing of 25% is required from the company.
Duration of projects
Projects must be completed by 18 months from the start date, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of 6 months.
The deadline for the conclusion of the interventions is set at March 31, 2029.
Selection procedure
Procedure Evaluation at the counter.
Applications are evaluated in chronological order of submission, until available resources are exhausted.
