Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy - Sardinia Region

The announcement Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy supports Sardinian businesses in transition to a low-carbon economy, promoting the installation of renewable energy plants and theenergy efficiency of buildings and production processes. The initiative contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and encourages the adoption of innovative solutions for the production and sustainable use of energy.

Facilitation type

• Lost fund
• Variable rates depending on the type of intervention and the size of the company:
  • DE MINIMIS up to 200,000€ → 100% + 7% flat rate
  • DE MINIMIS up to 300.000€ → 100%
  • GBER up to 500,000€ → differentiated percentages between micro/small and medium-sized enterprises for different actions

Recipients

• Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with headquarters or production unit in Sardinia
• Operating in the following sectors:
  • Manufacturing
  • Accommodation services
  • Management of sports facilities
  • Washing services
  • Mining sector
  • Mechanical, electrical and electronic repair and maintenance of motor vehicles
  • Food and beverage retail

Eligible Projects/Investments

• Installation of energy production plants from renewable sources (FER)
• Storage plants aimed at self-consumption
• Making buildings and industrial processes more efficient
• Innovative development of production processes and engineering of new efficient production lines

Eligible expenses

• Purchase of machinery, equipment and components
• Installation and installation of the systems
• Building works functional to the plants (max 30% of the admitted expenditure)
• Technical expenses for design, construction management and testing (max 10%)
• All expenses must be directly attributable to the investment

Amounts

• Minimum eligible expenditure: 20,000€
• Maximum eligible expenditure: 500,000€
• Total ceiling of the measure: 29,000,000€

Shares and contribution rates

• Electrification of production cycles and efficient use of energy: 50% micro and SMEs, 40% medium-sized enterprises
• Renewable energy (solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, heat pumps);
  Storage plants and systems: up to 65% micro and SMEs, up to 55% medium-sized enterprises (variable percentages depending on the intervention).
