Export Concept

The call supports the promotion, distribution and circulation of major audiovisual productions with the aim of strengthening the visibility of Sardinia at national and international levels. The measure promotes the enhancement of the island's cultural and landscape heritage, film tourism and the economic and employment growth of the territory.

Facilitation type
Non-repayable contribution with an intensity of up to 50% of eligible expenses.
The subsidy is granted under de minimis or GBER and a minimum co-financing of 50% is required.

Recipients
Italian, European and non-EU film and audiovisual companies active in audiovisual production, co-production or distribution.
Temporary business groupings (RTI) are also allowed.
Cultural associations, foundations and freelancers are excluded.

Eligible projects
Large audiovisual productions with clear recognition of Sardinia can be financed, divided into three categories:
— Fiction works of great media appeal (feature films and TV series)
— Fictional works related to Sardinian historical or cultural personalities
— Documentary works related to the history, culture or identity of Sardinia

The works must guarantee national or international distribution, or agreements with streaming platforms or documented foreign sales.

Conceivable amounts
The minimum contribution is 50,000 euros.
The maximum contribution is equal to:
— 500,000 euros for fictional works of great media appeal
— 250,000 euros for fictional works related to Sardinian historical or cultural personalities
— 150,000 euros for documentary works

Eligible expenses
Expenses incurred during the period of validity of the project are allowed, including those related to the promotion, distribution and circulation of the financed works, provided that they are actually incurred and reported in accordance with the provisions of the announcement.

Financial endowment
The total budget of the call is 925,926 euros, divided between the three categories of intervention. For each category there is a dedicated ranking.

Selection procedure
The procedure is evaluative after ranking.
Projects must reach a minimum threshold of 60 points to be eligible for funding.

Presentation methods
Applications must be submitted exclusively via PEC no later than 13:00 on March 4, 2026.

Territorial scope
Region of Sardinia.
