National incentive for entering foreign markets
The following notice — Insertion into Foreign Markets, supports Italian companies in their internationalization processes, the consolidation on foreign markets through subsidized financing and, in the presence of specific requirements, non-repayable co-financing shares.
Objective
Support the entry and consolidation of companies in international markets by opening or strengthening commercial and promotional structures abroad.
Beneficiaries
They can apply:
- Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
- Innovative SMEs and Innovative Startups
- Other companies with legal and operational headquarters in Italy
Companies operating in the banking, financial, insurance, fishing, aquaculture and primary agricultural production sectors, as well as those subject to sanctions or in a state of difficulty, are excluded.
Financiable interventions
Entry programs in foreign markets are allowed, which include:
- opening of new facilities abroad (offices, showrooms, corners or stores);
- strengthening of existing structures intended for promotional activities;
- recruitment of local staff not dedicated to sales;
- promotional activities and commercial missions in target countries.
The programs must concern goods or services produced in Italy or distributed under an Italian brand.
Concessible amount
The minimum amount that can be requested is 10,000 euros.
The maximum amount is determined based on the average revenues of the last two financial statements and the size of the company.
Form of the benefit
The benefit is granted in the form of:
- concessioned fixed-rate financing;
- possible non-repayable co-financing of 10% and with a 20% reward, within the limits of the “de minimis” regime and in the presence of specific territorial, dimensional or sustainability requirements.
Duration of the loan
The total duration is 6 years, divided as follows:
- 2 years of pre-amortization;
- 4 years of repayment with half-yearly installations with constant capital.
Eligible expenses
Expenses incurred for:
- leasing, purchase or installation of foreign structures;
- personnel operating in the structure abroad;
- consultancy, professional services and promotional activities;
- missions, trips and marketing initiatives related to the program.
Aid scheme
The intervention is granted in compliance with the EU “de minimis” Regulation no. 2831/2023.
